We never imagined this day would come. At our core we thought we'd reside here forever. The energy, the people, the innovation. Access to what seems like anything at our fingertips- how divine!

I moved to the city to challenge myself, to prove my independence, to be an individual. I came here to learn from a culture-packed city with differing views and experiences. After 12 years here, I've gained a lifetime of knowledge and wisdom, incredible friends, a wonderful husband and perfect (biased!) son.

There has been so much change since March 2020. This year we were presented with a different opportunity which seemed to be perfectly packaged for us. So we took it.

I've been weepy for days knowing we're leaving. Lots of emotions- denial/excitement, sadness/elation to embark on a new adventure, but also just plain anger at change.

But I'm confident this decision is what's best for us in the season. Although I feel like I've lost an appendage 💪🏻, I know this city will always be a part of us. I wish her healing, and know we will be back often. We LOVE you NYC. And HELLO Florida!

This week I had a taste of the old NYC

I did an outdoor workout class on a pier, overlooking the skyline, with an instructor, live music, & friends🤍

I’ll never forget my sickest days, when the only way you could get me out of my apartment was to a yoga class • I knew I would be around others who were welcoming & aligned on the importance movement & spirituality • the energy, the endorphins, the provided positive space was imperative to my healing

I now understand how Community in wellness can be just as therapeutic as the workout itself • Saying lots of 🙏🏻for the revival of all types of indoor fitness in NY soon - I know we could all use the mental boost!

Thanks to all the women who have empowered me. I never thought I’d share my life on any sort of platform; but I couldn’t keep up with the calls from others who were sick and looking for answers. Little did I know it would lead me to an incredible group of women that continues to inspire me everyday. I will always work to pay it forward!
