Hi, I’m Nia, and a few years ago I started a skincare brand inspired by my little sister’s struggle with rosacea.

What started as an attempt to create the products we wished existed in the market has turned into so much more than I ever expected.

Building a brand from scratch has been exciting, overwhelming, confusing, rewarding, and honestly a little unhinged at times. I’ve made a lot of mistakes, learned a lot of lessons the hard way, and spent the last few years figuring things out as I go.

One thing I’ve realized is that skincare is about so much more than products. It’s about confidence, community, self-expression, and creating little moments of joy in your everyday life.

That’s really what Heavenly has become for me. A community-first beauty brand focused on making skincare feel fun, nostalgic, approachable, and made for real life.

I’m sharing more of the behind-the-scenes, wins, mistakes, and lessons from building Heavenly because I wish more early stage founders talked about what it actually looks like behind the curtain.

This one was an expensive lesson. We spent nearly $10K on ads targeting the wrong audience.

As painful as it was, it forced us to take a step back, get crystal clear on who we’re actually building for, and focus our energy where it mattered most.
