Helping women find their best colors to wear so they can embrace their natural beauty with condifence

Photos from Created Colorful's post 07/08/2026

I’ve been sitting on this dress for a couple months, waiting on an occasion to wear it…

Then I remembered my LIFE is the occasion - and wore it to chipotle and the park.

And actually I think it helped me be happier and more present with my kids 🥹

I did set a hard “no sitting on my lap on the subway ride back from the splash pad” rule but hey it gave them some practice with boundaries. No regrets

If there’s something fabulous in your closet you’ve been sitting on, chipotle tomorrow??

Our instinct when we feel insecure is to make ourselves disappear or fly under the radar.

I’d like to submit another option: cause a commotion.

If you don’t want your body to take center stage, it doesn’t have to - just give them something else shiny and fun to look at.

Adding some bangles, a fabulous hat, statement earrings, or a well-placed sarong can let your accessories take the spotlight.

And a suit in your colors draws eyes naturally up to your beautiful face.

I feel so much more confident and badass when I can serve a whole look at the pool, versus leaning on my bathing suit alone.

Bangles by color season dropping tonight to our email list!

Comment BANGLES if you want it!

Shoutout to my stylist friend Kassandra Hazlehurst | NYC Creative Director who recently got me on to bangles for the summer - you were right 😘

I know it’s bold, head-turning, and a bit in-your-face. That’s why many of us think twice before wearing it.

But red can be such a deliciously empowering color 🔥💪 if you’ve shied away from it in the past, summer is a good time to give it a try.

It’s ironic (and I’m preaching to myself here as an enneagram 6),

but CONFIDENCE always comes from DOING the thing, rather than endlessly workshopping it.

Wearing red scared might be the exact thing that gives you a style breakthrough this summer.

Not sure which red is your red? Comment REDS and I’ll send you a blog with links to the best reds for your color season.

In the name of whimsy, I’ve been trying something new each day with my makeup. As Hillary Duff once said- WHY NOT take a crazy chance?

I guess today I stumbled into a sick day catfish hack?!

I’ve tried burgundy/wine liner before, but this more true purple really called my name. Brown eyed baddies have you tried this?

The real question though is what karaoke song should I try to take advantage of my sick voice? IYKYK

I’ve been itching to get back to Karaoke Lindsey.

When I’m singing a throwback with friends, I’m not over-thinking.

I’m letting loose, in my body, and VIBING with real-life people. 💃

Going for the big bridge I’ll never hit and crying laughing with the group when my voice cracks.

Belting the Thong Song even though half the room never knows it. 😂

That’s the version of me I want more of this summer.

Playing over analyzing.
Hugs over texts.

I want to be me in 3D, not in theory.

What your version of “living a little” look like this summer? 👇

Better yet: tag a friend you wanna do a repeat on a fun day with and get the plan going.

The makeup girlies have been telling me warm skin tones look good with a pop of cool added to their warm eye shadow…

Here’s my first attempt!

They tell me that since most eye shadows skew warmer than anyone’s skin actually is, that warm toned girls can look balanced in some neutral/cool shades of shadow.

Warm toned ladies, have you played with blending warm and cool?

What do you think? (This is an experiment/ongoing conversation. I’ve been doing color analysis for clothes for years, but makeup is something I’m learning and sharing about in real time)!

Sometimes you gotta get out of your head, into the streets, and WEAR THE THING!!!

In part 1, I played in my closet and threw together an outfit that made ME happy but was a bit outside the box.

I wasn’t sure if people would think it was stupid or extra, and was a teeny bit nervous,

but to grow in your style, you gotta JUST WEAR IT 💃

Since me and the UPS store guy always connect over fashion, I decided to drop off a package and see how I felt walking around in it.

GUESS WHAT?

The very first woman I saw, as I was walking in the store said “I like your outfit!”

I felt instantly validated, seen, my creativity respected. I don’t need everyone to like my outfit, but that first co-sign is always a game-changer,

Walked home feeling cool and excited to play in my closet again 🤌

As women we’re always pressured to doubt our intuition and to conform. To play small

But when you stand 10 toes down and wear the thing no one told you,
You are standing up for yourself in a way,
being authentic and embodied and brave,
and getting back in touch with who you are

What a bada$$ 🔥

Listen: I love studying style tips as much as the next girl, but to have a REAL breakthrough in your style, imposter syndrome, and confidence?

You gotta PLAY!! And risk! (And yes, flop)

My fave, most “me” outfits (and most complimented) were the ones I was a teensy bit nervous to go out the house in but did anyway.

Breaking outside the norm and established trends is vulnerable feeling. But so exhilarating and empowering when it lands 🤩 and you get braver either way!

I’m gonna do an errand in this outfit later to workshop it in the wild,

If you wanna see how it goes, follow for part 2 👀 Lindsey Myers 🌈 Created Colorful

Core memory: living in NYC when the Knicks win the finals

Save this color combo idea if you’re not sure how to make rust feel like “summer:” Rust + blue + green

For me, rust can feel whomp whomp in the summer. I know it’s gonna look great on my skin tone, but it doesn’t have that vibrant feeling that reds and yellows do.

But I took the first pic and was drawn to the way the green bushes and blue sky set my rust dress on fire.

So I tried it with the new green jacket y’all convinced me to get lol.

The jacket feels “greener” because it’s next to rust. And the orange in the rust pops against the contrasting blue.

The final vibe is rich and fun. Love it.

I also think the tie back of the dress and the ruffle in front is giving summer too.

Not all summer dresses go from day to night easily, but this combo is working for me. What do y’all think?

Ps y’all were right: the jacket is awesome 😘

Both pieces are Boden
