Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for so much this year - to be able to gather with family and friends, and wishing all of you the best on this day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is my contribution to the hosted by the amazing ! I was really excited to be a part of this collab and the incredibly talented cookie artists who are posting all day today.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My cookie mug was cut with a cutter I designed myself. The inspiration for the design is the stunning Amanda Gorman and her beautiful ensemble she worn at the Presidental Inauguration. Her words took my breath away, and I knew I wanted to try to create a cookie of my own to honor her.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I tried to match the red in her headband and the yellow of her coat. The lattice is the braids of her hair with the gold beads. And the title of her poem is written along the front of the mug.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Better late than never!. This set is from the amazing Megan Warnes Staycaytion class at , and because I was crazy busy printing PPE masks for months this was the first chance I had to sit down and bake and decorate them. The class was in May so I tweaked the original colors for a more fall vibe using the color mix guide.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have a big backlog of Megan's classes to work through and they will bring those lettering and fine piping skills up to the next level, and the level after that too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I took an amazing virtual class with Sandie Beltran on Saturday. We were able to create this black and white edible painted image of Audrey Hepburn. I was blown away at great the class and my cookie turned out.

Quiet quarantine Saturday and I decided to practice piping fine lines. So I printed out a few interesting color pages and stuck them in page protectors. The phrase rinse and repeat in key here.
