We’re shedding a light on more women’s health news this week!
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) got a new name this year, it is now Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS). It has thankfully started to received the attention it deserves, but we still have a long way to go.
If you have any of the symptoms listed, it’s important to speak to your doctor about PMOS - particularly if you have someone in your family (Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma) who has it.
The news this month? More women than we think are at risk. So get checked - and if your doctor doesn’t listen to you, request a different one until you get the help that you deserve.
If something doesn’t feel right, you should be taken seriously to get it sorted ♥️
If you’d like to find out more about PMOS, drop us a DM and we’ll send you some resources to learn more!

It’s Fibroids Awareness Month — and we need to talk about this. 🎗️
Uterine fibroids affect 1 in 3 women in their lifetime. They are the most common benign tumour of the female reproductive system. And yet most women have never heard of them until they’re diagnosed.
What are fibroids?
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus. They range from the size of a pea to — in some cases — a melon. They are almost never dangerous, but they can significantly impact quality of life.
Symptoms can include:
🩸 Heavy, prolonged periods
😣 Pelvic pain and pressure
🚽 Frequent urination
🤰 A swollen or enlarged abdomen
😴 Fatigue from blood loss
❌ Pain during s*x
Who is most at risk?
Fibroids are more common in Black women, who are 2–3x more likely to develop them and more likely to experience severe symptoms. This disparity is not spoken about enough.

As part of we’re sharing important info for our audience.
Here’s what you need to know about menstrual cups and fibroids.
Fibroids can change the shape of your uterus and cervix, and often cause significantly heavier periods. Neither of these means you can’t use a menstrual cup — but they do mean you may need to adjust how you use one.
Here’s our guidance 👇
🩸 Empty more frequently. Fibroids often cause heavier flow, meaning your cup may fill faster than average. Check and empty more often than you usually would — especially on heavy days.
💛 Consider Lena Sensitive. If fibroids have affected the positioning of your cervix or you experience increased pelvic pressure, a softer cup like the Lena Sensitive may be more comfortable than the standard Lena Cup.
📏 Check your cervix position. Fibroids can change where your cervix sits — this affects which cup size and length works best for you. If you’re unsure, your GP or gynaecologist can help.
✅ It is safe to use a menstrual cup with fibroids. There is no evidence that cup use worsens fibroids or causes harm.
As always — if you have specific concerns, speak to your gynaecologist. Every body is different, and fibroids vary enormously in size, number, and location.

What if the key to understanding your body had been there all along — and nobody told you? 🌙
Cycle tracking is one of the most powerful tools a woman can have.
Not just for knowing when your period is coming — but for understanding your energy, your mood, your skin, your libido, your sleep, your mental health, and your physical performance across every single week of the month.
Your cycle is not just your period. It’s four distinct phases — and your body is doing something completely different in each one.
🌱 Follicular — rising energy, creativity, sociability
☀️ Ovulation — peak confidence, strength, communication
🍂 Luteal — slower, more internal, ideal for deep focus
🌊 Menstrual — rest, reflection, reset
When you track your cycle, you stop fighting your body and start working with it. You understand why some weeks feel electric and others feel impossible. You stop blaming yourself — and start reading the data.
This is the women’s health education we all deserved years ago. 💛
Save this. Track your cycle. Know yourself. 🔖

If you’ve ever had unusual discharge, a fishy smell, or unexplained irritation — this carousel is for you. 🩺
Bacterial vaginosis is the most common va**nal condition in women aged 15–44. More common than thrush. And yet most women have never heard of it — or spend months thinking something is deeply wrong with them before getting a diagnosis.
You are not dirty. You are not contagious. Your body is not broken. 💛
Symptoms of BV include:
🐟 Fishy or unusual smelling discharge
🌫️ Off-white or grey discharge
🔥 Itching, burning and irritation
❓ Sometimes no symptoms at all
What BV is NOT:
❌ A s*xually transmitted infection
❌ Contagious
❌ Caused by poor hygiene — over-washing can actually make it worse
BV happens when the natural balance of bacteria in your va**na is disrupted. Scented products, synthetic period products, douching, and pH imbalance can all be triggers.
If you recognise these symptoms, speak to your GP. BV is very treatable and you absolutely don’t have to put up with it.
