Some of you know me..some don’t.. allow me to introduce myself:

𝗜'𝗠 𝗞𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 32 (i think) mom, wife, registered nurse and color street stylist.

I’ve been a nurse for 12 years. I have an associates degree in nursing, and I’m certified in critical care nursing, through the American association of critical care Nurses.

I’ve been a color street stylist, going on 2 years...I have a team volume of $100,000 (which still amazes me everyday)

I also have a disease. It’s called depression. In 2019 I was so depressed that I wanted to kill myself…..shortly after getting help and surviving…. my journey with color street started…

Before I get into any details..I wanna share a quote…

Through Color street and the self development books/trainings I’ve read or watched ….i went from not wanting to be on this earth anymore to gaining the confidence to share my story, my light and my love.

I’ve learned to create and make other people feel confident/ comfortable with being their authentic selves…cause that is what I’m here on this earth to do…

To delve a litter deeper in my story…circa 2015/16 my grandpa (who is and was my favorite person) died on a ventilator in the ICU, and my world came crashing down… it was a very traumatic experience for me… and I didn’t give myself much time to process it before deciding to sell our house, here in Ohio, and move to Florida.

my husband, daughter and I packed all of our possessions into a medium size U-haul truck and moved to SW FloridaI, 15 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.

When I moved to Florida. I thought I was running away from my problems and the salt water and sunshine would take care of it all….

for two years I lived in a beautiful sub-tropical climate… but my mindset and habits were absolute GARBAGE 🗑….

I worked night shift at the hospital in Ohio and Florida for four years.. I Never slept, my diet consisted of Red Bull, ci******es, and fast food. …I was a freaking ticking time bomb…

one day before my 7pm shift. I woke up around 6:30 my heart racing, chest pain, difficulty breathing and went to the ER..

I had a panic attack. They gave me some medication to calm me down, some mental health resources and a printed handout on anxiety and sent me about my way…

it was my responsibility to get help…

I’m sure you know what’s next. I never reached out to get help and continued spiraling down into a deep dark place. Irrational thoughts and fear consumed me

… I took some time off work, I clearly couldn’t save lives when I couldn’t even deal with my own life… I filed for short term disability, and my husband called my grandma who came to visit me. She knew I was completely off my rocker… she’s helped me get help..

During my counseling sessions in Florida I got a little bit of clarity.. I remember the counselor saying “now is not a good time to make any large life changes”

Bam 💥 there is where my problem started. I thought I was running away from my problems by moving tO Florida, when in all actuality, the problem was me and my garbage habits and mindset…

I knew then I needed to make a big life change and go back home… go back home to surround myself with people who raised me. Who I grew up with. I needed to reconnect with these people and heal myself

Another quote that I feel in my soul..for ya “happiness is not a destination..it’s a MINDSET”

So there I was circa 2019/20 back home in Ohio, getting help from doctors and family.

My enroller, a good friend from high school asked me to try color street, I did, even though I bit my finger nails till they bled from depression/anxiety..

And guess what my little nubs looked beautiful. then I hosted a party.. did pretty well.. and eventually signed up just “for the kit” (wink wink) ..which turned into sooooo much more…I had no idea what I was getting my self into but I took and ran with it..

through my journey…I learned that this isn’t just selling.. this nail gig gives me the opportunity to share my story, to make an impact in the world, no matter how big or small.

I have 820 members in my vip… I don’t want them there just to sell them something… I want them there so we can stay in touch and encourage/motivate/and have fun with one another. I want to give back to them to let them know I appreciate them.

Another thing I’ve learned through my journey with CS is how to create boundaries.. As women/humans we are expected to be everything for everyone.. its easy to try to keep up with this unrealistic expectation and forgot about ourselves…

…color street is something I do for myself. This is my ME TIME. It gives me a way to express myself, while making a positive impact on those around me.

My husband knows that when I’m in my zone, whether it be shipping orders, doing an event, Facebook live or doing my nails.. to let me be.

Tips:

1. Be yourself. And love yourself. People will like and trust you, just the way you are….
2. Don’t take things too seriously.. life is cray. If you make a mistake. Move on and try again.
