Meet Lauren 🤎 | Founder of Alchemy of Hair

Hi, I’m Lauren!

I’ve been behind the chair for over 25 years, and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. Born and raised in Vermont, I’ve proudly called Delaware home for the past 20 years.

I’m the proud mom of two incredible sons, ages 22 and 18. They are my greatest accomplishment, and alongside them, my passion has always been this industry. Helping people feel beautiful, confident, and truly themselves is something I never take for granted.

I specialize in custom color, highlights, balayage, women’s and men’s haircutting, and extensions. Nine years ago, I had the privilege of founding Alchemy of Hair alongside my best friends, and watching it grow into the welcoming, creative space it is today has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

When I’m not in the salon, you’ll usually find me traveling to visit family, cooking wholesome meals from scratch, or relaxing anywhere near the water. I believe life has a way of giving you exactly what you need if you’re willing to work hard, stay grateful, and trust the journey.

One of the greatest gifts this career has given me is the relationships I’ve built. Many of my clients have become lifelong friends, and the community we’ve created together means more to me than words can express.

As I prepare to celebrate 50, I look around and see a life filled with love—a beautiful family, incredible friendships, a salon that feels like home, and clients who have trusted me through every season. That is what Alchemy has always been about: creating more than beautiful hair. It’s about creating connection, confidence, and a place where everyone feels at home.
