Licking County has one of the largest populations of seniors in Ohio, with nearly one in four residents aged 60 and over.
β’ No New Taxes: This is a renewal levy, not a new tax.
β’ Essential Services: By voting FOR the levy, you enable the continuation of critical services like transportation, home meal delivery, adult protective services, home chore assistance, vision care, personal care, and more.
β’ Community Benefit: Annually, an average of 20 local agencies benefit from the Senior Services Levy funds. These include organizations such as Licking County Aging Partners, Licking County Job & Family Services β Adult Protective Services, Catholic Social Services, LEADS, Licking County Transit, and the Licking County Community Center. Many senior clubs also receive funds to keep seniors engaged and connected with their community.
The requested renewal will remain based on 2019 home values which amounts to $26 annually for every $100,000 home.
The levy will provide funding for five years beginning in 2025. For more info, visit citizensforseniors.org.
