Just wanted to reach out to my customers and to give you my holiday hours .
I will be off the entire week of Christmas, so set those appointments up early.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted. Just wanted to drop a quick note to say that we are getting into our busier times of the year with the holidays upon us. So book those appointments ASAP because it will fill up.
I fully understand last minute gifts, last minute this and last minute that …,,, however, haircuts should NOT be last minute if you want in before the holidays. And I will not work 12-14 hour days. Why? Because I’m too dog gone old! LOL
Also , I will be out of the shop December 22-28, for the week.
So , if I don’t post anything before the holidays, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. We are extremely busy, and have been for a long while.

Hello folks. Just wanted to let you know I’ve got the COVID-19 and I’m not sure when I’ll be back to work.
I apologize to my customers whom I have booked for this holiday season. I will be back ASAP.
There is never a good time to have this , much less during the Thanksgiving holiday.

I will keep you updated on my condition as to when I’m back.

Ps, Stupid Chinese virus!!!

Downtown Newark is a mess with construction projects that will be there for a while. 4 th street is shut down, which is a main drag. So getting to our shop is an adventure and frustrating.
So, the way to get to us quickly is to hit 3rd street. 3rd street will get you anywhere you want downtown . 3rd street is the way.

On November 1st I will be starting my 40th year in the biz. Time has flown! All 40 years in downtown Newark. What a great ride it’s been, thanks to all our customers who make it all possible! Thank you so much!

Things are so very well at Backstreet Haircutters for my staff and myself. We have picked up a lot of new business, as we always look to do,and we thank our new clients as well .

Hello folks. Just wanted to reach out to tell you business is ...... weird. Probably as crazy as the virus!

We are caught up so give us a shout for your hair care needs.
For those who are letting your hair grow out long because your wife or girlfriend thinks “ it looks good on you”, ...... it doesn’t! Or it makes you look like Fabio or Sampson.... it doesn’t! So give us a yell and we’ll take care of that situation.

We are the one of the safest shops , as far as our sanitation protocols.

Hi folks! Just want to drop you a quick update to tell you we are officially “ caught up”! After a month of crazy busy and working our butts off, we have slowed down considerably. So, if anyone has been waiting for us to slow down to set up appointments, it has happened.

After conversing with our staff and consulting with my great doctor friend Dr Robert Bulas M.D. we have decided to go with a mask optional for the customer. We , however, are mandated as operators, that we will continue to wear our mask.
This will still give us a 89% success rate of not spreading the virus. If you still want to wear the mask in our establishment, we are absolutely fine with that.

Hi guys! I’d like to post a couple comments.
We’ve been back for a week and guess what? We’re busy! We’ve seen every crazy hair do you can imagine. Wife cuts, covid cuts and no cuts at all. It has been very entertaining.

Also we’d like to say a huge thank you to our customers for the compliancy to our wishes for safety protocol. Thank you so much!

Your generosity to us has been absolutely humbling! We can’t put into words how grateful we are to you. We’ve always known that we have the best clients in the world, but you have gone above and beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you so very much!!

With that said, we look forward to being of service at Backstreet Haircutters, with the best assembly of barbers that I’ve ever been associated with!
