I once took a leap and rented a single salon chair no commission just believe in my craft.

Then I did it again in a state where I didn't know a single person.

Turns out I had more ambition and tenacity than I ever knew.

I don't know who needs to hear this today but here's something beautiful to gaze upon.

In the middle of so much uncertainty, a Western Tiger Swallowtail butterfly drifted in and rested on a flower. No rush. No fear. Just presence.

In moments when the headlines feel heavy and the world feels uncertain, nature still shows up in breathtaking ways. Beauty still finds us. Grace still lands softly.

Desirée did my hair and makeup as well as the makeup of my bridal party. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup, I was a bit nervous about wearing makeup on my wedding day and not looking like myself. Desirée is extremely talented and does an incredible job of applying makeup that gives a natural look while simultaneously highlighting individual features. She also seamlessly covered up one of the small bruises on an individual in my bridal party which resulted in a big sigh of relief. Desirée is attentive and kind and I’m so lucky I found her. If you are looking for a hair and makeup artist for your wedding, I highly recommend Desirée. I like her so much that I now make the trip from Salem to get my hair cut by her.
