Update from the Downtown Newburgh Business Community:

After careful consideration, the Downtown Newburgh Business Collective has made the difficult decision to pause the Chocolate Walk for 2026.
This event has meant so much to our community over the past seven years honoring Nieva Schapker and the Newburgh Food Pantry.
We also recognize the staffing and financial commitment required from our local businesses, and we want to be respectful of that.
Our intention is to bring back the Chocolate Walk in 2027 with the care and coordination it deserves.
In the meantime, we still want to support Nieva Schapker's mission and our community. We ask that you follow our local businesses to learn other ways to support our Food Pantry.
We also want to thank Historic Newburgh and the Town of Newburgh for their supportive efforts. While they aren’t involved in hosting or coordinating the event, their encouragement means a lot to us and the community!
