Lash Retention is affected by multiple factors! Lash artists do all they can to help your lashes last as long as possible.

Here are some things you can personally control as a guest that will help your lash extensions last longer!

1. Cleanse your lashes daily - many guests admit that they refuse to wash their lashes because they believe they will fall out faster. This is false. It is very important to cleanse your lash extensions daily to increase retention. Even for a guest that doesn’t wear makeup, the oils from our face are enough to create build up in our lashes.

2. Sleep on your back - sleeping on your side or stomach will crush your lashes. If you are someone that doesn’t sleep on their back and always loses lashes on the outer corners, this may be why. Sleeping on your back helps reduce the risk of crushing the lashes and causing them to fall out or twist.

3. Avoid extreme heat & high humidity - high heat from things like a blow dryer, oven, stove, etc. can cause your lashes to singe or even melt. Extreme humidity via facials can cause the adhesive to weaken.

4. Avoid oil based makeup & mascara - you should never wear any mascara with lash extensions. Waterproof makeup is also a no as it can also cause the adhesive to soften. Opt for oil-free makeup removers, makeup, and creams!

5. Schedule your fills every 2-3 weeks - each guest will experience different timelines when it comes to fills. To help maintain the full set, we recommend scheduling fills every 2 to 3 weeks.

6. Avoid picking your lashes - do not pick your lashes under any circumstance. Always contact your lash artist if a removal is needed and do not try to remove yourself. You can seriously damage your natural lashes.
