Bridal trial vs wedding day makeup! We made a few tweaks for the big day per Sammie’s request, namely more glow and a bit more neutral lip, and of course, her hairstyle is slightly different too. She looks like a Victoria’s Secret angel in both looks ❤️

As one of our brides, please never be afraid to speak up about what you’d like to change for your day-of look! We will always give you our professional advice/opinion of what is feasible/looks best in photos, but we’re happy to adjust as needed on the fly!

I know. Makeup and hair products are EXPENSIVE! Bobby pins alone tripled in price in 2020, and makeup especially skyrocketed as more brands and influencers try to pump out new products to consumers.

So, being a financially conscious woman (thanks to my coupon-savvy mom) and having come from years of hard work building a career from the ground up, I have stored away a bit of knowledge over the years about how to “work the system”, so to speak…taking advantage of discounts already offered but not well-publicized.

So many of us can get caught up in the glitz & glamour of a newly released product, not realizing that waiting a month or two for a sale could save us a few bucks! And when your kits are worth thousands of dollars, several dollars saved makes a world of difference over time! Here are my tips…

Behind the email, behind the curling iron, behind the makeup brush is this person: the wife, the sister, the daughter, the friend, the auntie, the Jesus-follower.

These are my favorite titles in life. My business is my “baby”, and it’s on my mind 24/7, but oftentimes, I’m struck with the shallowness of my profession and the fact that true value in life doesn’t exist in notoriety, income, work ethic, or even God-given talent…it’s in the relationships made within your community. I’d be nothing without my village. If I lost my business and every connection made within it, and all I had left was Jesus & my people, it’d be okay - there’s so much more to happiness than success!

My dear husband whose patience and tenderness is unmatched.
My faithful best friends of many years and the new sweet besties made within the past year of change.
My precious sister/confidante who always checks in.
My mom and mother-in-law who show me love and grace.
My cutie nephews who I love so very much.
My aunt, grandma, and cousin who live far but who champion my art and inspire me always.
My church small groups and mentors/therapists who challenge and guide me towards Jesus.
The list is literally endless!

Some of the structures in place in my business stem from research and lessons learned throughout the years, but they also come from advice and wisdom from THESE people!
The encouragement to keep going comes from THESE people!
The prayers for success come from THESE people!

These are a few of our most coveted dates of 2026 with inquiries/bookings dating back to April of 2025.

As you can see, each date is reserved for only one special bride…the one who completes her contract which typically happens 9-12 months in advance. Every single day we receive inquiries from brides 3-6 months out from their wedding date (some even WEEKS out), asking for availability, and we have to turn them away, referring them out to other trusted artists who are likely booked too. Though some brides certainly can get lucky with finding an artist for a weekday or low-season date, it is rare. Reputable vendors book well in advance.

A wedding day happens once in a lifetime, so we take the time to make sure the bride we book aligns with our brand, has the day reserved solely for her, and is wholly cared for in the months leading up to her big day.

We send reminders for bridal previews, offer advice on cuts/colors/esthetic treatments, supply our bride with hair & skincare guides months in advance, communicate with her planner, pamper & engage her at her bridal trial, train in techniques to keep her hair & makeup looking amazing & lasting long into the night, and generally support her in any beauty-related aspect (and even beyond if she requests guidance regarding vendors!). Your girlfriend or childhood hairstylist can’t do the same though they may be free or low-budget.

So when you are booking your venue and building your Pinterest board, you should be reserving your beauty stylists too! Their work will be the single most important visual on your wedding day…their artistry will be in every photo of YOU, after all!
