✨ Base Bump 101 ✨

A base bump is a hair color technique that gently lifts and brightens the roots, creating a natural, sun-kissed look. For this particular client, I started by applying highlights to add dimension throughout the hair. Then, at the bowl, I used a base breaker on the remaining hair—those areas not touched by the highlights. This clever technique lightened the untouched sections to create a softer, more seamless blonde without the need to bleach the entire head. 🌟

It prevents harsh lines that can sometimes form when too much of the hair is colored, while still maintaining a natural, fresh vibe. The addition of the base breaker allows for a more dimensional, blended blonde, keeping it soft and effortlessly sun-kissed.
