Our very own Kodyann Lawrence has earned 1st Place in the nationwide America’s Field Trip Contest, selected as one of only 125 first-place winners from across the country! 🏆

Kodyann’s award-winning song, “Grandpa’s Photo,” honors the gift of freedom provided by the brave men and women who have served our nation. Her heartfelt message stood out among entries from students representing 42 states and 3 U.S. territories, reflecting on themes of freedom, service, perseverance, community, and opportunity.

As part of her award, Kodyann earned an all-expenses-paid 3-day, 2-night trip to Washington, D.C. for herself and an adult, along with a little spending money! Both Kodyann’s parents and her brother intend to accompany her on this trip! While winners could choose from incredible destinations across the country, Kodyann selected our nation’s capital for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

What an incredible accomplishment and a wonderful representation of our community. We couldn’t be more proud to see her talent, hard work, and patriotism recognized on a national stage.
