Meet Joan.... Joan is a single professional woman in her mid forties and came to me looking for an updated, sophisticated and professional new look. As you can see (BEFORE), I had my work cut out for me!
Where to begin? First clear my schedule for the day! Sorry Joan but this is SERIOUS, we are talking nightmare!
1. Color: Joan has been coloring her own hair with a drugstore box brand and not consistently using the same brand or formula. Her roots where an orange/ blondish brown, mid shaft, a medium brown and her ends where black due to overlapping.
My first priority is to even out her color without causing further damage to the integrity (health) of her hair. BIG job! Using a multi-step process I was able to achieve a beautiful warm chocolate brown.
Cut: In speaking with Joan I learned that her previous stylist was using a razor to eliminate unwanted wanted bulk, resulting in fly away, frizzy hair. Another BAD idea!
Another issue that Joan was concerned about was the deep lines forming on her forehead and upper brow; making her look "mean." Bangs or Botox? Joan doesn't like needles so BANGS it is!
Result: Joan is rocking her new look, watch out Joan Jet! Roomer has it that Joan is no longer single!

First cutting; adding layers to better see my placement and enhance the final result, I then used the Balayage technique to add a natural dimension. I carefully selected sections and took it down 2 levels. After achieving my desired level I then toned with a level 6 warm red toner.
And ta da! The results are remarkable!

2018 NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS FOR YOR HAIR!
Now is the perfect time to get a new look! Enter into the new year in style! Here are some tips on how....
1. CHOOSE an EXPERIENCED and TALENTED STYLIST. A stylist that will listen and will consider ALL of your hair care needs.
2. Come to your appointment PREPARED and on time! Do your homework. Bring pictures that you love, as well as don't love. This will allow you and your stylist to create a unique look customized just for you.
3. TAKE YOUR STYLIST ADVISE. This is after all what you are paying for.
4. KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS. Avoid a high maintenance style if your life doesn't accommodate.
5. ALLOW YOUR STYLIST TO HELP CHOOSE YOUR HAIR CARE PRODUCTS for your at home regimen. Try adding a weekly deep treatment and or giving your hair a break once a week. Bumble and Bumble has something for everyone 😉.
6. BE BRAVE! If cutting off your locks is not what your ready for consider color enhancement or a keratin treatment.
7. AVOID BUDGETING WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR HAIR! Oh, it's great to get a deal but perhaps not on your hair. There is no hiding a bad hair-do and it could takes months to correct.
