Today is in loving memory of my grandmother. It’s has now been 5 years since she has past, it is still so hard with me to deal with the fact that she’s gone. She’s been with me all my life and I still will always remember my memories with her. I know she will always be with me and I know that she is in a better place now.

Dios te tiene a su lado, y nosotros en nuestros corazones. Sabes cuanto te extraño y cuanto te quiero. 😘❤️

Messy bun babes, where are you at?
Did you know that wearing messy buns and ponytails everyday can actually cause a lot of damage and breakage?
Don't worry, I'm not telling you to give up your beloved messy bun!
But here's some tips to help you reduce breakage when wearing your hair up!
• Use scrunchies, invisabobbies, or fabric hair ties
• Switch up the position and don't wear your pony or bun in the same spot every day
• Ditch the bands all together and opt for a jaw clip
• Never wear your hair up wet
• Don't wear your ponytail or bun too tight

My sister recently had her prom and it was so crazy to see how fast she's grown up. With her last day of high school coming to an end, her first day of college is coming so soon and I am so happy for her!

This day, I realized I’m more than just a hairstylist. Because even though that my sister just wanted a simple updo, she was super anxious. As soon as we finished her hair, put her dress and shoes on, she left with more confidence than ever 😊

Taking a break from Social Media is okay!
I feel like it can be difficult to break out of the habit of picking up your phone and it being the first thing you do when you wake up. Everyone does it!! Even if you don't realize it, I do it all the time!
While I was taking my social media break I recently found a new hobby of painting (do not judge, very first time lol) It felt so good to just sit down and enjoy doing something new.

Back in February we had a 2 day course on extensions.
At first I was really intrigued by extensions and then when we started the course I fell absolutely in love with them! It's so crazy me how much of a difference they can be with just putting extensions in and how many customizable looks we can create with them.

This has been a long awaited post, as many of you guys know I'm currently in the Associate Program. Not many salons do this but, this is the main reason why I chose to be in Blondie.

I would like to introduce you to Sara, she is my educator through Blondie. I get to learn and work one on one with Sara, I am her second pair of hands and as I go through the program, the more experience I gain from it.

Not only is she my educator but she is like my salon mom, I'm not kidding. She is the most caring, dedicated and determined person I know. She creates masterpieces on her guests and leaves them feeling absolutely beautiful when they leave her chair. She is definitely my role model when it comes to becoming a full time stylist myself.

Color fading way too fast? Here's 3 ways to help:

1⃣ Using a Salon Professional color safe shampoo, this will help ensure that your color is not going to fade. Using a non-professional shampoo will strip the color.

2⃣ Less Heat, color will fade if you are not using a heat protectant on your hair before using a heat styling tool. Also make sure your heat styling tool is not too hot.

3⃣ Doing an in-salon treatment or deep conditioning treatment when you are doing a color service to help keep your color looking fresh, shiny, and healthy.
