Proposed 386- 394 Watertown st. Newton special permit meeting. Another council meeting tonight at 7pm. Anyone available to show up in support of my project at Newton city hall would be deeply appreciated. Tonight's meeting is planning and developing board. We will have answers to new and previously ask questions. We will clarify a few things before we go for a vote with full council later this month.
This special permit is even more important now with the new tariffs in place. This is what happened the last time I tried to build. Everyone will now feel pain .
Please show up to support my project tonight at Newton city hall @ 7 pm.
Thanks,
John.

My re development project.
As many of you know I have been trying to redevelop my property for 8 years .Along the process there has been many hurdels tariffs, covid, supply chain issues etc...
When I received approval on my first plan, my builder and I had a contract,
but after demolishing my building the price rose to the point that I had to stop construction. I took on a partner who spent 2 + years redesigning and the reapproval process . Ultimately
that redesign was too costly and not financially feasible.
Finally ,I formed a partner ship with a second partner whom recognized my vision and wants to see it through . I am nervous about the same thing happening again . Tariffs, cost escalating, supply chain issues.
I am hoping for public support for 3 /1130sqft condo units on a special permited 4th floor. The 4th floor will have a roof deck in the front of the building setting the first unit 20 feet back from the front of the building and Watertown street.
The building will be a class A building . 13 condos from 750sqft- 1130sqft ,3/ 1bdrm, 10 /2bdrms and 890sqft retail . There will be 1 car parking for each unit and 3 units will be considered affordable housing.
My team and I have been slandered by the administration of The Nonantum neighborhood association. Even though we thought that we had a working agreement to make changes to our permitting plans. They agreed to post a community meeting on the same platforms that they are slandering from. That community meeting was supposed to take place on zoom and in person at the post 440. They never notified anyone, and then stated at city council meeting that we were not even curtious enough to have a community meeting. Please show your support for my project by writing the Mayor, planning department and city council and please feel free to share this letter.
Sincerely,
John Mula

We are open for business! My receptionist ,15 year old daughter Christina Mula and barber Ken Vestini are here waiting to serve you.
We are booking appointments! If for some reason I have not responded to an appointment request, please resend. We at Salvi's barber shop have taken great strides to create a covid-19 free shop.
We want our clients to still remain cautious when touching door handles, railings, doors or any surface that you could contract covid-19 from . We will sanitize your hands with the world famous Fabrizio hand sanitizer ( while it lasts). We will take your temperature with a infrared thermometer. Any symptoms a client has will be confidentially discussed and politely asked to leave.
We will keep a confidential log of customers name and contact info, this is required by state government to track and notify if someone tests positive.
We continue to thank you all,
John Mula
We will be opening on Monday the 25th of May. I am sorry to say that not all barbers will be returning on their own accord. We are front line workers and the stress of all what's going on is not easy.
I will try to work by appointments as well as the board and call ahead. Please be flexible with initial appointments so we can take care of everyone in a timely fashion. If possible I ask you to sign the board and comeback when your up. Calling the shop will only slow the process down. We will book next appointment at end of haircut.
I ask clients to please be patient with this new process and as the virus disappears we will review the process .
Thanks for your support and cooperation,
John Mula ๐
We got the green light to open on the 25 which is memorial Day! I just started to look at the rules and regulations put into place and it's going to be tough to comply with all of them right away. Example, a clean cape for every customer ( I don't have hundreds) ,change of gloves (each customer) , change of barber's smock (each customer,we will need 100) those are just a few new regulations . The sanitation and sterilization is not a problem it's the massive amount of never needed linens and personal protective measures. Prices are definitely going to up! I am truly sorry today for my industry that has fed my family for generations. I don't know what to do this took the wind out of my sails๐ช๐
