Did you know that not all rosehip oil is the same? Rosehip is the ripened fruit of a rose 🌹 🍒. As there are many rose varieties, there can be many rosehip oils🌷🌹🌺. Each may feel different and may also bring in various benefits to our skin and hair.

The most common rosehip oils are Rosa Mosqueta 🇨🇱 (aka Rosa Rubiginosa) and Dog Rose 🇪🇺🐶 (aka Rosa canina). They both are very rich in omega-9, omega-6, and omega-3 oils, which is why they feel so amazing! But the Rosa Mosqueta oil has more omega-3 (~ 30%) than Dog Rose (~ 19%). The lower omega-9 content makes Rosa Mosqueta more appropriate to acne-prone skin!

Finally, Rosa Mosqueta rosehip oil is the only vegetable oil to contain traces of all-trans retinoic acid or natural retinoic 🍀.
