Some tips to help your retention:

› Don’t get your lashes wet 24 hrs after your appointment.

› Do NOT put mascara on your extensions!

› Do NOT use an eyelash curler.

› Don’t let any oil based products get on your extensions.

› Careful with intense heat, this will actually make your lashes lose their curl and singe at the tip.

➝ Always put research into who you are letting touch your eyes! As fun and beautiful as lashes are, it should also be taken seriously. You want to make sure your lash girl is not only certified in lash extensions (ideally multiple certifications with some time of experience) but is a licensed aesthetician or cosmetologist as well. AND someone who truly cares about you and their work.

➝ Talk to your lash artist and gain some knowledge about the adhesive they use. This is an important roll not only in great retention but your eye health as well.
And for my lash artists; the right adhesive plays a HUGE role in good retention. It can be frustrating but trial and error is key 🔑. Make sure your temp and humidity is at the appropriate setting for your glue.

➝ Make sure to book your refills every 2-3 weeks! Our lashes naturally fall out due to our lash growth cycle. Because of this, you want to make sure to get your refills in regularly.

➝ Don’t get loads of makeup on your extensions, and be sure to clean your lashes 3-4 times a week with an approved lash cleanser. HOWEVER if you wear eye makeup, workout, swim, cry, make sure to clean your lashes after every one of these things (and I’m always a shoulder to lean on if you need a good cry 💕😉 😝).

➝ Avoid getting oil on your extensions. This will make your extensions slide right off; so while you have extensions DO NOT 🛑 let oil get on them. If you have any oily skin care products, be sure to avoid your eyes and put it on at least a half hour before bed so it has time to soak into your skin.
