🥊 A Fighter, a Teammate, and Family Forever
Some athletes leave a mark through victories. Others leave a mark through their character. Andrew Najerahas done both.
Andrew Najera is one of the finest competitors our club has ever produced. Through countless hours of hard work in the gym, courage in the ring, and respect outside of it, he has set the standard for what a true athlete should be. His dedication, discipline, and humility have made him not only a successful boxer, but also a role model for the younger generation of fighters.
While life has recently taken him to Mexico, where he will continue his boxing journey and training with new coaches and clubs, this is not goodbye. Andrew remains a member of the JAB-LAB Boxing Club family and, whenever his schedule allows, he will return to train and compete under our banner once again.
As his coach, this transition is bittersweet. It is difficult to see such an important part of our team leave, but at the same time, I am proud and excited to see him continue growing, learning, and expanding his career through new experiences and opportunities.
Andrew, thank you for everything you have given to this team. We wish you success, good health, and many victories on your journey ahead.
Once JAB-LAB, always JAB-LAB. We can’t wait to see you back in our corner and representing our club again.
🥊🇺🇸🇲🇽 Good luck, Andrew! Your boxing family is always behind you. ❤️

Another great weekend of amateur boxing is in the books!
First and foremost, I would like to thank my good friend and coach Daniel Ortiz and the entire Way of the Warrior team in Lebanon, Missouri, for hosting an outstanding event.
I am especially proud to say that this was the first boxing show where I served not only as a coach, but also as an official with USA Boxing. Alongside Steven Ross,Kelley Kelley, and Mike Slame, I had the opportunity to assist with athlete registration, weigh-ins, ring inspection, and other official duties. It was a valuable learning experience, and I am grateful for the trust and support. A special thank you as well to Coach Smitty's Mid-West Boxing Gym for lending us the scale for weigh-ins.
What can I say about this event? Everything was first class. It was obvious that a tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, and financial investment went into making this show a success. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful Lebanon Civic Center, the energy and atmosphere were incredible. DJ Will CropperCropper once again proved why he is one of the best in the business, keeping the crowd engaged throughout the night. The championship belts awarded to the winners were without a doubt some of the finest I have ever seen at an amateur boxing event. Having multiple videographers Dylan Pritchard Alex McGee , OWARI Boxing TRIBEcovering the show only highlighted how special this event truly was.
This time, our team brought six competitors. I am also excited to announce that our club has recently welcomed several outstanding additions to both our coaching staff and competitive team. Elliott Ross and Kuhn , I am honored that they chose to join our program, and they are more than welcome as part of our boxing family.
The results were impressive, finishing the event with a 5-1 record. While winning is always nice, events like these are about much more than the final score. We are building experience, developing character, and improving our skills every time we step into the ring. What matters most to me is seeing progress from one fight to the next, and I was very pleased with what our athletes showed this weekend. Of course, there is always room to improve, and we will continue to work toward becoming better every day.
Most importantly, I want to thank God for blessing us with the opportunity to be part of this journey. Thank you to all the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, friends, and parents for your continued support and belief in what we are building.
There is no rest for us. Our focus is already on the next challenge as we prepare for our next event on the 27th.
One team. One family. Forward together. 🥊

“Losing a fight can feel like rock bottom. Any boxer who’s been in the ring long enough knows that feeling, the quiet ride home, replaying every round in your head, thinking about what you should have done differently. It sticks with you.
But here’s the truth, rock bottom isn’t the worst place to be. In boxing, rock bottom can be the foundation you build from. A good coach knows that. A good coach doesn’t disappear after a loss. That’s when the real work starts. That’s when the conversations matter, when mistakes get fixed, and when fighters start growing.
I’ve seen fighters hit rock bottom after a tough loss, and I’ve been there myself. It doesn’t matter how many times it happens, every loss is a reset button. The relationship between a coach and a boxer gets stronger in those moments. Wins are great, but losses are where trust is built. That’s when a coach stands next to a fighter and says, “We’ll fix this. Now let’s get back to work.”
Rock bottom isn’t where you stay, it’s where you rebuild.
Train harder. Learn more. Elevate everything you do.
Because in boxing, sometimes the fighters who go the farthest are the ones who had to climb back up the most.
Just remember.... rock bottom is never the end. It’s just the beginning of the comeback.”

No rest for us. No excuses. Just fight.
Tonight in St. Charles, MO, we step into something unique — an open outdoor ring, one-of-a-kind boxing event where everything is on the line and nothing is given.
We’re coming in with two warriors representing our team. Unfortunately, we couldn’t match up more of our fighters this time, but make no mistake — the ones who are here are ready to go to war.
Ethan Williams and Devon Kempare facing a real test tonight. Tough opponents from St. Louis, high-level boxers, real pressure, real skill — exactly the kind of challenge that reveals who you are.
No fear. No shortcuts. Just work.
St. Charles will see what we bring.

Tulsa delivered once again. 🔥🥊
Huge respect to King Street Boxing and Mr. Hector Rivas for organizing an outstanding USA Boxing officials clinic for those ready to step up and become part of the sport on a deeper level.
From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-tier—warm welcome, great atmosphere, snacks, and refreshing drinks that made everyone feel at home. But what truly made this experience elite was the knowledge shared.
We had the privilege of learning from one of the very best—Mr. Roland Gamez, a multiple-time top referee in the country. His energy, clarity, and real-fight insights turned this clinic into something special. He didn’t just teach—he made us understand the sport in a whole new way.
💭 “The smartest investment you can ever make is in yourself—because knowledge in the ring begins long before the first punch is thrown.”
Personally, I learned a lot and cleared up things I didn’t fully understand as a coach. This experience leveled me up—not just for my fighters, but for my own growth in boxing.
I’m truly honored and motivated, and I hope to soon be part of the team that steps into the ring not just to compete—but to judge it, understand it, and protect it.
This is how we grow. This is how we respect the sport. This is how we build the future of boxing.
🥊Special thanks going to Kelley Kelley and Braden Kelley who inform me about all this and give me drive back ! Thank you 🙏

Last Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we had the honor of competing at a fantastic event organized by King Street Boxing during the Cinco de Mayo weekend.
The organization was top-notch, with great structure and valuable awards that made the entire experience even more special. During the intermission, the crowd enjoyed a very engaging performance by a local cultural arts group, which added a unique and vibrant touch to the night.
Inside the ring, our team delivered solid performances. We came away with one victory and two losses—one of them by split decision.
Overall, I’m satisfied with how my fighters performed. There’s always room to grow, and we know we need to keep working and step into every fight 100% prepared. A longer break due to injury did leave its mark, but we’re not looking for excuses.
The next boxing show is already ahead of us—another opportunity to improve, correct our mistakes, and come back stronger.

Your opponent is not trying to beat your potential — only your preparation.
That’s the truth in boxing.
It’s never about what you could be.
It’s about what you’ve actually built in the gym — round after round, day after day.
No shortcuts. No excuses. Just preparation.
