You may have noticed " High Frequency" as one of the included services on my facial spa menu and wondered what it is and what it can do for your skin. Originally developed by Nikola Tesla in the late 1880s for wound healing, High Frequency uses oscillating electrical current to stimulate blood circulation, it also produces a mild ozone that kills acne bacteria and oxygenates the skin. Additionally it can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as tighten and shrink pores. I like to use it after the " Extractions" portions of the facial to help shrink up pores after sebum removal. The gauze on the face is used to help the electrode glide evenly over the skin.
Of all the tech devices that have entered skincare, this is the only one I wanted to have in my practice because I appreciate it's instant effects.

Saw the Freaky Friday sequel yesterday and laughed throughout the entire movie! It was so good!!
But what is up with this recurring theme of bashing Reiki in all the newer movies and series? They did it twice in White Lotus.
I guess like with everything else, even if its bad publicity it's still getting the word out. I know, I was close minded to the possible effect of a treatment where you don't touch someone with your hands, rather hover just above. However after receiving my first session ever I was profoundly impressed, I could feel myself balanced as if I had just been to a great yoga class and relaxed as if I had had a 90min massage. I went on to become a Reiki Master in California so that I could share the love and light and integrate it into my practice. I offer a Reiki Facial, which has all the wonderful usual benefits of a pampering facial, as well as a little " Reiki blast" during the masque.

Did you know that modern steamers produce ozone which is oxygen with an extra molecule ( o3)? The benefit is increased oxygenation of the skin tissues which in turn results in an antibacterial effect. I have even heard of ozone being used in teeth cleaning and in cancer treatments, pretty cool stuff that oxygen! I also add chamomile to my steamer which is calming and soothing for any skin type and promotes a relaxing natural aroma. All my facials begin with a steam during the cleaning and exfoliation steps.
By the way this is Joe Sax my husband modeling here, he loves the steam room, but recently found out how bad regular tap water is in steaming. I used distilled h2o which is better for my machine and your skin, free from chlorine!
