Did you know one of the first Black beauty schools was created over 100 years ago by Madam C.J. Walker? She didn’t just teach women how to do hair — she taught them how to build businesses, create wealth, and change their families’ futures.

Before social media, before influencers, before “girl boss” was a trend — Black women were already turning braids, presses, and natural hair care into power. Beauty salons became classrooms, safe spaces, and stepping stones to independence.
