As of 5-18-21, the mask mandate in the city of Norman has been lifted. At The Neighborhood Shop, we will continue to wear masks to protect those who cannot be vaccinated, or for some reason simply choose not to. We will still continue to have people wait in their car until their appointment time. We still encourage people who are not vaccinated to definitely wear a mask for their own protection.

Ultimately we will leave it up to the client to make the decision whether to wear a mask inside the shop or not. As stated above, the stylists will continue to mask out of respect for the many diverse clients we have who face various challenges regarding the virus. Whether you decide to mask or not, you’ll hear no complaints from us.

The shift to going completely maskless in the shop will be a gradual process. So, we will require masks through the end of May, and beyond that we will try free will. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding as we ease back into some sort of our prior lives!
