Deep Pressure ≠ Deep Tissue ≠ Neuromuscular Therapy
🔥 Deep Pressure = INTENSITY
How much force is being applied
🎯 Deep Tissue = TECHNIQUE + INTENTION
Working intentionally with deeper layers of muscle, fascia and connective tissue. Yes, deeper pressure may be used—but only when appropriate.
🧠 Neuromuscular Therapy = ASSESSMENT + SPECIFICITY
More targeted work based on what the therapist identifies through assessment and palpation.
The takeaway?
More pressure ≠ better treatment.
Sometimes deeper pressure is appropriate. Sometimes moderate pressure with precise positioning and technique produces the better response.
