It’s officially time to give this year’s summer collection one last hoorah.

✨ All remaining Summer Collection products are 20% OFF through August 9 at 11:59 PM EST.

📧 If you’re part of my Skin + Suds Club, don’t forget to check your inbox! Your exclusive subscriber only offer is waiting for you.

I’m getting the studio ready for my next shop update, which means these summer favorites are making their graceful exit. Once they’re gone, they’re gone until next year.

And thank you, from the bottom of my wee little heart, for supporting my one-woman business. Every order still does a happy dance for me (yes even after all these years). I get to spend my days making skincare, talking science, + whipping up soap… + that’s only possible because of amazing humans like you.

xoxo,
Pam 💋

Fear sells. I’m still not using it.

I created a longer form video discussing the claims I refuse to make, the insecurities I refuse to exploit, and why your pain points are not part of my marketing strategy. Come for the questionable marketing tactics. Stay for the mild ranting and aggressive use of common sense.

Advice from the soap box

What I’m coming to learn is that sometimes the only thing that is limiting me…. is me.

Take the risk because sometimes things actually do work out. If they don’t? You have a cool story + learned along the way.

I grew up never feeling “cool.” I was dorky, a little (very) awkward, + very opinionated.

Turns out those very qualities carried right on into adulthood, + would become the reasons why people find joy in me + my business.

So now I’m 43 + officially “cool,” I guess.

If you like cool soaps + cool crystal + kick ass skincare, then join my cool club. We smell good over here.

No but seriously… having to run your own small business WHILST filming content of you running your own small business is just not efficient.

I still do it because know y’all seeing the behind-the-scenes of it all. But just know that being a content creator was not on my list of reasons wanting to be a business owner.

And yes, filling these amazing body crèmes is such a time suck. 🤪

The algorithm can’t buy a soap, but apparently it does decide who gets to see them. 😅

That’s why likes, comments, shares, reposts, + saves matter so much to small businesses. They’re not just “engagement,” but also little signals that tell Instagram this post is worth showing to more people.

That’s all most of us are trying to do: get in front of the people who would genuinely love what we make.

So if you have a favorite small business, remember that supporting them doesn’t always have to cost a dime. Sometimes it’s just a few taps + a little algorithm magic. ✨

I’m not asking you to fight a bear… just bully the algorithm a little for me + the rest of us small biz folks. 😂

Art school dropout turned soap artist. I’d say it worked out pretty well. 🧼✨

If you want soap that smells incredible, feels amazing, + looks like art, hi, I’m Pam, your soap artist. 👋🏻

After a busy market season from March through June, I’ve been enjoying a slower July. 🌿

Between vacation + taking a break from the constant market prep, it’s been nice to recharge + spend some time working on other parts of my business.

We’re often told that running a business means always grinding, always hustling, + constantly showing up. But I don’t think that’s the whole story.

Sometimes showing up for your business means showing up for yourself first. It means recognizing when you need to slow down, recharge, + create space to simply 𝙗𝙚. We can’t always be in “go” mode, even if capitalist culture often tells us we should be.

I’ll be back at markets later in August for a multi-day event, + can’t wait to get back out there with fresh energy + lots of new pieces.

Okay… this is a pretty cool “pinch me” moment. 🥹

Getting to make these lip scrubs for my first subscription box has been one of those milestones that makes all the late nights + messy work tables feel so worth it.

Here’s the entire process from start to finish because I know I’m not the only one who loves seeing how things are made. ✨

Big thanks to Peace & Pages Box for trusting me with this opportunity. I had an absolute blast!

Manifesting this being the first of many. 🤞 (+ if anyone else is looking for handmade products for a subscription box… hi. 😌)
