✨ When your client sends you a picture like THIS… it makes a hairstylist’s day. 💜

She sent me this photo pointing right at her temples because she wanted me to see all of the new hair growth she’s noticing!

And this is one of the reasons I love the color system I choose to use in my studio.

I use O&M, Original Mineral, an Australian hair color brand created with a different philosophy about what goes into professional hair color. O&M is known for being ammonia-, PPD- and resorcinol-free, while also focusing on thoughtful ingredients and Australian botanicals. 🇦🇺🌿

Now, I would never say that hair color “caused” her new growth. Hair growth is influenced by many things. But I absolutely love knowing that while I’m taking care of my clients’ color, I’m also choosing a professional color line that is intentionally formulated without some of the ingredients I prefer to avoid.

Beautiful color is important.

But beautiful, healthy-looking hair matters even more. ✨

And when a client notices her own new growth and is excited enough to send me a picture… THAT is the kind of message I love receiving. 💜

She was over the moon with her results! 🤍 We softened and beautifully blended her grays using only organic, plant-based color, keeping her hair looking natural, dimensional, and healthy.

We also gave her a light trim to freshen everything up and added some gorgeous volume to those beautiful locks. ✨

Sometimes a subtle change makes the biggest difference — and that smile says it all! 🥰

Yale University studied the psychology of hair and found that bad hair days make women feel less capable, less smart, and less confident.

The flip side? When her hair is done, her brain registers the opposite. She walks differently. Thinks differently. Shows up differently.

A little explanation behind this before-and-after…

You may notice that the after photo appears brighter, and I completely understand why someone might think the lighting was changed.

It wasn’t. The lighting is exactly the same.

Here’s why the skin can appear brighter after the treatment: a smoother, more even surface reflects light more uniformly. When the skin has more visible pores, wrinkles, texture, and tiny shadows, the light is scattered and absorbed into those variations, creating a darker, less reflective appearance.

Think of it like the difference between a smooth surface and a textured one. The smoother the surface, the more evenly it reflects light.

This treatment combined microcurrent facial technology, laser, far-infrared light therapy, and Ivory Light therapy, which I use to help minimize the appearance of pores and address bacteria on the skin.

I’m sharing the explanation because I care deeply about being authentic with my before-and-after results. I don’t change the lighting, use filters, or manipulate the photos to make my work look better.

Same lighting. Different skin surface. Real results.
