As a small business owner, I feel like sometimes it’s important to explain what goes on behind the scenes.

I have worked 13 days straight. Thirteen. And while I absolutely love what I do and am incredibly passionate about my clients and their dogs, I am still a human being.

This morning, exhaustion caught up with me and I woke up with a terrible headache that unfortunately resulted in an unexpected cancellation. Trust me when I say cancelling an appointment is never something I do casually or because I simply “don’t feel like working.” I understand that my clients have schedules, plans, and responsibilities too.

But I also have a responsibility to myself and to the dogs in my care. If I am physically exhausted or genuinely not feeling well, sometimes the responsible thing to do is step back instead of pushing myself to the point of burnout.

My regular clients know how hard I work. They know how passionate I am about grooming, how much I care about their dogs, and how much effort goes into making Paw Haus Studio what it is. I pour an incredible amount of myself into this business every single day.

Behind this business is one person doing the grooming, scheduling, cleaning, laundry, communication, bookkeeping, and everything else that comes with running a small business.

I will always do my best to respect my clients’ time, and I expect that same respect in return.

An unexpected cancellation does not mean I don’t care. It doesn’t mean I’m unreliable. And it certainly doesn’t erase the hundreds of appointments I’ve shown up for, worked through exhaustion for, and given my absolute best to. I will ALWAYS reschedule you immediately if I absolutely need to cancel for any reason.

Sometimes life happens. Sometimes your body says “you need to stop.”

And sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself, your business, and the dogs you’re trusted with is listen. 🐾

🐾 My first raffle basket is officially complete! 🐾

I had the honor of putting together my very first raffle basket for the Ohio Army Aviation Ball, and I couldn’t be more excited to support such an incredible event. 🇺🇸

It was so much fun creating something special, and I truly hope the winner loves it!

✨Recovery Update✨

I wanted to give everyone an update on my return to grooming after my abdominal surgery last week! 💜

🐾 Beginning August 10th, I’ll be accepting small dogs under 20 lbs as I continue easing back into work after surgery.

🐾 Beginning August 25th, I’ll officially be back to grooming all breeds and sizes!

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and support during my recovery. I truly appreciate each and every one of you and can’t wait to see all of your sweet pups again! 🐶💕

Home sweet home! 🩷

I finally get to go home today and I cannot wait! While I’m definitely still very sore and look like I’m 9 months pregnant (yay for abdominal surgery😂), I’m so thankful to be able to continue my recovery from the comfort of my own home.

Yesterday, I had two of the sweetest visitors—my husband, Tyler Wilson, and our daughter. ❤️ They made my day and have both been so loving, supportive, and helpful through all of this. I truly couldn’t ask for a better little family. Everleigh makes the cutest little nurse with all of her help. 🥰

Now I’m looking forward to getting home, soaking up all the cuddles from them and all of my fur babies while I continue to heal. Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, sent prayers, and kept me in your thoughts. It means more than you’ll ever know. 💕

I am on weight restrictions for the next month, but I will begin reaching out to reschedule everyone after my post op appointment on August 3rd! 🐾

It breaks my heart to have to make this post, but unfortunately I have been admitted to the hospital and will be undergoing surgery. Because of this, I need to cancel all appointments for the remainder of this week.

I know how much you trust me with your babies, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes. This wasn’t something I anticipated, and I appreciate your patience and understanding while I focus on my health and recovery.

I will reach out to everyone individually as soon as I’m able to begin rescheduling appointments. Thank you all for your kindness, support, and grace during this time. It truly means more to me than you know.

Please keep me in your thoughts as I head into surgery this evening or tomorrow. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love and seeing all of your sweet pups again. 🐾

✨Important Pricing Update Effective August 1st✨

As my business continues to grow, I have made the decision to adjust my pricing. This wasn’t a decision I made lightly, but please understand that it’s necessary to continue providing the level of care, quality, and service that I believe every dog deserves.

I’ve had a few questions about my pricing, so I wanted to explain what makes my business different.

I am a true one-on-one dog groomer. I never have multiple grooming appointments scheduled at the same time. When your dog is with me, they have my complete attention from the moment they arrive until they’re ready to go home.

Many grooming salons schedule several dogs at once, which helps keep their prices lower. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with different business models—but that’s simply not how I choose to operate.

My goal is to provide a calm, personalized experience where your dog isn’t spending hours in a kennel waiting for their turn or being passed from one groomer to another. Every appointment is focused entirely on your pet, allowing me to work at their pace and give them the patience and attention they deserve. This is especially beneficial for puppies, senior dogs, anxious pets, and dogs that simply do better in a quieter environment.

Because I dedicate my time to one family at a time, I can only groom a limited number of dogs each day. My pricing reflects the individualized care, professional products, equipment, continuing education, and the time and attention that every appointment receives.

I understand that my services may not fit every budget, and I completely respect that. However, if you’re looking for a low-stress, one-on-one grooming experience where your dog’s comfort and safety always come first, I would truly love the opportunity to care for them.
