It’s been a while since l’ve introduced myself and I want to say hello 👋🏼 and tell you a bit about myself and my business.

I’m Laura Zinke, owner and creator of all things at Zinke Apiary. I’m fiercely passionate about finding better alternatives to the things we use in our daily lives. I think businesses have a responsibility to make products that improve people’s lives and prevent further destruction to our valuable resources and planet. 🌎

The mission behind Zinke Apiary is to create natural, sustainable, ethical skincare and wellness products. I source my ingredients and packaging intentionally and avoid brands that don’t align with my business including Amazon. 👎

This page is a bit of promoting my products, a bit of education about natural ingredients and natural living, and a lot of what what l’m up to as a beekeeper, business owner, and woman working to get closer to nature while working and raising a family. I’m far from perfect when it comes to any of these things, but I invite you to join me on this imperfect journey. Thanks for being here! Your support allows me to do more of what I love 💛

What’s in Zinke Apiary honey? Just lots of bits of so many medicinal plants 🌱 passionflower, calendula, self-heal, lavender, echinacea, marshmallow, and so many more! 💛

Harvested these gorgeous organic hops this morning! We have a flag pole just past the apiary where these massive vines climb year after year and produce these bitter, medicinal, tasty (think IPA🍺) flowers. I dry them and add to our nighttime tea because they help me relax and sleep deeper. This year I’m also tincturing them fresh and am excited to see what effect that has. For my 40% alcohol tinctures I only use Western Reserve Distillers vodka becayse it’s local, organic, and the highest quality 🙌

Have you ever seen honeycomb? 🍯 The honey bees fill their perfect little hexagonal beeswax cells with nectar and enzymes (from their honey guts). Then they dehydrate it until it’s the perfect level of moisture (because it will ferment otherwise) and cap it with beeswax for storage. Look at the beautiful colors and patterns of these frames full of capped honey 😍🐝

Of course all of the plants and natural ingredients I use are naturally solar powered 🌱, but I also use a lot of electricity when I’m making products and it’s 100% renewable! Another way to feel good using Zinke Apiary products 💛
