What a 12 hour salon day actually looks like 👀
Today behind the chair looked like:
• prom hair + makeup (straight fine texture)
• a root touch up + gloss
• prom hair + makeup (curly medium texture)
• a curly men’s cut
• setup, formulation, styling, photos, cleanup… all of it
A lot of what makes a salon experience GOOD happens in the small details clients never really see.
Things like:
✨ proper sectioning + attention to detail
✨ timing services correctly
✨ customizing products + techniques
✨ making sure styles actually LAST
✨ creating a look that fits YOUR lifestyle
✨ sanitation + prep between every client
Whether it’s bridal + prom glam, a haircut, or a color appointment, the goal is never just for it to look good in the salon mirror for 5 minutes.
I want my clients to leave feeling confident, comfortable, and like their look will actually work for them long after they leave my chair 💗

She was almost brunette before her wedding and I simply could not allow that🙂↔️✨
With less than 2 weeks until she walks down the aisle, we wanted to make sure her blonde was doing the MOST in all the right places.
Instead of doing a full blonding refresh, we focused strategically on the areas that would create the biggest impact. So I opted for focusing my time around her hairline and money pieces since those are the pieces that will stand out most in her wedding style and photos.
We kept it soft and dimensional with a partial highlight + a seamless root melt so everything still feels blended, bright, and more low-maintenance instead of an overly highlighted solid look.
Blonding isn’t just about making the hair blonder… it’s about customizing the placement and maintenance to fit the final look as a whole and adjusting details as we go 🙌🏼

The details that make gray blending look soft instead of aging 👏🏼
Gray blending isn’t about trying to completely hide every silver strand. The goal is creating softness, dimension, and a grow out that feels more manageable🤍
The little details matter SO much when it comes to making gray blending look natural:
* brightness placement around the face
* balancing depth + dimension
* customizing formulas to natural growth and skin tone
* blending with your natural pattern instead of fighting against it
My goal is for my clients to feel like their hair looks intentional, not like they’re constantly trying to “cover” something.

Earlier this week I spent 2 days in Cincinnati at The Content Chronicles and honestly it shifted how I look at everything—not just posting
Because the reality is… content isn’t just about pretty photos, trending audios, or going viral. It’s how I’m able to communicate with you before you even sit in my chair
It’s how you know what to expect
It’s how you learn how to actually style your hair at home
It’s how you figure out if I’m the right fit for you
And I feel like for a long time, I was overthinking what to post instead of focusing on what would actually be helpful for you (I feel like the definition of my name in the urban dictionary has to be overthinker😂)
So moving forward, I’m being way more intentional with what I share -> more real life, more education, more of the why behind what I do!!

How to get voluminous curls on fine hair (that actually lasts 👏🏼) →
1. Using dry shampoo
My go-to for volume + that freshly washed feel is the air wash. It’s honestly the only dry shampoo I use now. Perfect balance of grittiness and hold without feeling heavy or like it’s being weighed down.
2. Letting curls cool before brushing
I will swear by this. I don’t care if you have to drive to work looking like George Washington. 😭 If you let them fully set before brushing, they’ll last all day. No excuses… I know you have at least a 10 min drive 😂
3. Using a good texture spray
And by good, I mean one that gives texture, volume and hold. My ride or die is the undone volume matte texture spray. Insane volume + definition, smells amazing, and a little goes a long way… (even though I go a little feral with it 🤭)
Now you know that fine hair doesn’t mean it has to be flat!! I got youuuu 🥰

Spring can be sneaky with fading (sun, heat, more washing), but a few small changes at home make a huge difference in how your color holds up. ☀️
These are the things I’m always telling my clients behind the chair. Simple and realistic, but actually worth doing!
Healthy hair = longer lasting color (say it louder for the ones in the back 😝✨)
