Between working and my regular life, I've been busy. But, I've been working at finishing an online herbalist course that I'm super excited for! Its a step towards offering more @ tarottea. I hope you loves are excited for the cooler weather approaching, and the new things coming from Tarot Tea 🍵 🖤

Today is Beltane here in the Northern Hemisphere, which is the Gaelic May Day festival, and is halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. It is an important time as the wheel of the year turns towards summer and it is a celebration of the return of the fertility of the land. The word ‘Beltane’ roughly translates as ‘bright fire’ and Beltane is traditionally celebrated by the lighting of bonfires. Fire was seen as a purifier and healer and in ancient times it would have been walked around and danced/jumped over by people. Farmers would also have driven their cattle between bonfires to cleanse and protect them before being put out into the fields. I would not recommend jumping over bonfires, but perhaps you might like to light a candle tonight in honour of this ancient festival. Here as the featured art today is my "Beltane" dragon from the series of Dragons of the Sabbats. The wheel of the year behind this swirling fire creature displays the rune for Beltane at the top.
