When I woke up this morning to yet another client canceling, I felt the need to say something here. Many of you know I’ve started my own microblading business and I’ve recently added Brow Lamination to my services. I may be brand spanking new, but I’ve got the skills and am constantly learning more and more. I’ve got to start somewhere, just like everyone does.
With that being said, it’s important that many of you realize how a business like this works. It’s a waste of MY time if you cancel on me last minute. I didn’t charge anyone who moved forward with an appointment a deposit. I didn’t for the very reason for 8-10 people expressing interest and 6 saying they absolutely wanted services done. I offered lower prices and it was to help build content for my new business since I’m based in Los Angeles. (Lockdown DOES NOT help me get clientele)
Maybe that’s where I failed this time.
Chicopee and Western mass is a good place for me to offer microblading and lamination services especially since it’s not common that you’d run into one. I marketed myself to y’all because I know many of you and many of you know me. It would also give me the opportunity to come back every two months to continue touch ups for those committed and build more clientele.
It makes it all fun and even worth it.

So when you express interest in services like this to a traveling small business, you better be damn sure you want it. It’s a waste of everyone’s time if you’re not serious.

I’m about to embark on a plane to Massachusetts with a handful of supplies that won’t get used. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope it doesn’t happen like this again.

I hope this helps those who are very indecisive think twice about committing to a service because I’m definitely going to charge deposits next time 🙂
