Ready to make a change? Comment ‘SMP’ and let’s talk. 👇🏽
When you’ve done so many SMPs they start catching up to your haircut count 😂💀
Thinking about SMP? Comment “SMP” and I’ll send you the details. 👀
Anybody else got that ONE client you can’t be serious around? 😂👇

Sometimes you have to look back just to understand how far you’ve really come.
There was a time when all I had was a vision.
No blueprint.
No guarantees.
Just faith, hunger, and a promise to myself that when I got another opportunity at life, I wasn’t going to waste it.
I spent 10 years incarcerated watching the world move without me. But even in those years, I knew my story couldn’t end there.
I came home and went to work.
I fought for the opportunity to become a licensed barber. Built FadezByBoda one client at a time. Became an SMP artist. Stepped into education. Cut collegiate and professional athletes. Built my own studio. Started building an academy for the next generation.
And somehow… I still feel like I’m just getting started.
This video is only 60 seconds.
But behind every second are sacrifices, setbacks, sleepless nights, closed doors, lessons, prayers, and moments when quitting would’ve been easier.
I’m not posting this to say I made it.
I’m posting it because sometimes we get so focused on where we’re going that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve already traveled.
This is just a snapshot of the journey.
The story is still being written.

RANKED #1. 🏆
I had to sit with this one for a minute.
There was a time in my life when I couldn’t see what my future looked like. I spent 10 years incarcerated, watching life move forward without me, holding onto a promise I made to myself that one day I was going to come home and build something meaningful.
Barbering became more than a career for me. It became part of my redemption.
Every early morning. Every late night. Every client who trusted me with their appearance. Every person who shared my work, left a review, referred a friend, or simply told me, “Keep going.”
It all mattered.
Today, seeing FadezByBoda ranked #1 Barber Shop in North Liberty hits different.
Not because I need a plaque to tell me who I am—but because I know what it took to get here.
I went from fighting for an opportunity just to become a licensed barber… to owning my own studio, becoming an SMP artist and educator, cutting collegiate and professional athletes, building an academy for the next generation, and now seeing the name FadezByBoda sitting at #1 in the city I chose to build in.
And the craziest part?
I still feel like I’m at the beginning.
To North Liberty, Iowa City, the entire Corridor, and every single person who has supported me: thank you. You gave me an opportunity to turn a second chance into a legacy.
I don’t take any of this for granted.
Someone once told me, “Set the standard.”
I’m on my way. 🏆
From a prison cell to #1 in my city.
Keep watching the story unfold.
