October looks good on you 🤎🍂
Coffee in hand, fresh lashes, and an hour that’s just for you. That’s how we’re starting the month at FRME.
This season we’re loving soft brown lashes with a wispy finish and brows shaped to frame your face, so getting ready in the morning takes half the time.
October appointments are open now. Book yours through the link in bio 🤎
The secret to a good textured set is contrast between your spikes and your base. ✨
For this one I used Pixie Lashes for the spikes and Fairy 5D for the base from Lashbox LA Pro. The Pixies give me clean, defined peaks, and the Fairy 5D fills in underneath without weighing the set down. That contrast is what gives you movement and that wispy, separated look.
A few things I always tell my students about spiky sets
• Give your spikes enough length difference to actually stand out
• Your base is there to support the design, not compete with it
• Placement matters as much as the products you pick
• Keep your spike pattern consistent so the set looks intentional
Honestly, one small change in your map can completely change the final look.
This is what we dig into in my 1:1 lash trainings. Anyone can copy a map. I want you to understand how to build texture for different eyes and different natural lash lines.
Should I post the exact map and lengths I used for this set? Let me know in the comments 👀 And save this for your next textured set 🤍

Before you blame your adhesive, look at the whole appointment. 🔍
When retention feels inconsistent, it helps to review your process:
🫧 Cleansing: did you thoroughly remove makeup, oils, and residue?
🤍 Prep: are you following the directions for the products you’re using?
🌡️ Environment: are your room conditions within your adhesive’s recommended range?
🔎 Application: are you getting secure contact without gaps or stickies?
My September picks include the cleansing, prep, and finishing products I use but each one has a specific job. A finishing product can’t correct poor attachment, and primer doesn’t replace cleansing.
That’s why I teach students to troubleshoot their routine step by step before buying something new.
Save this checklist for your next retention review, and message me “CLASS” if you’d like hands-on guidance in a FRME 1:1 training. 🩵
Multidimensional lashes aren’t about adding MORE lashes, they’re about creating depth on purpose. ✨
A multidimensional set uses different layers, textures, lengths, and sometimes curls to keep the lash line from looking flat.
Think of it like building the set in levels:
• Top layer: longer spikes or texture to create movement
• Middle layer: your main shape + transition lengths
• Bottom layer: shorter lashes to build density and a darker lash line
The key is that every layer has a job.
If every extension is sitting at the same length and level, even a technically beautiful set can photograph flat. But once you start using the natural lash layers intentionally, you can create more depth without making the set feel unnecessarily heavy.
Practical takeaway:
Before you start your next set, don’t only map from inner → outer corner. Look at the lashes from the side and decide what you want each natural layer to contribute to the final design.
That’s where multidimensional mapping really starts.
I used for this set Lashbox LA Pro:
- Multilayered Lashes LC Curl
- Pixie Lashes C+ Curl
- Fairy Lashes 5D C+ curl

Your isolation can look perfect… and still create a sticky. 👀
One of the biggest things I teach my students is that isolation doesn’t end the second you place the extension.
Natural lashes grow in different directions, sit in different layers, and move the moment you release your tweezers. That perfectly isolated lash can suddenly touch the one above, below, or beside it and now you have a sticky.
That’s why my process is always:
ISOLATE → PLACE → RELEASE → RECHECK. 🔍
And before I finish a set? I’m going back through those layers again.
Because stickies aren’t just about how clean your work looks. They can cause pulling, twisting, discomfort and unnecessary tension as the natural lashes grow.
Your client might never know how perfect your isolation was…
but they’ll feel the difference. 🩵
Save this for your next set & send it to a lash artist who needs the reminder.
Be honest đź‘€ are you rechecking after placement, or only checking for stickies at the end?
