The FDA has approved bemotrizinol (BEMT), the first new sunscreen active ingredient approved in the United States in 25 years.

While this ingredient has been available in Europe and other countries for years, U.S. consumers will soon have access to another option for broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
