With all the overflow of cucumbers, from your garden, make your own "Cucumber eye pads".....1/2 cucumber, peeled and chopped, 2 Tbs. distilled water.....puree the cucumber and water. Pour mixture through a strainer into a clean spray bottle. Chill the liquid and, when your eyes meed de-puffing or refreshing, mist over cotton pads and place over your eyes. Keeps for 2 weeks in the fridge.

Stay as cool as possible, on these hot days!

Firm your skin with carrots......loaded with skin-firming Vitamin A and anti-aging antioxidants like beta-carotene....3-5 peeled and steamed carrots with 1/2 tsp. light olive oil...puree in a food processor until creamy, apply the mask to a clean face and relax 15 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

Refresh oily skin.... Tomato acts as a natural astringent.....mix 1tsp. tomato juice with 3Tbs. distilled water in a reclosable bottle. Shake, pour a few drops on a cotton pad and sweep over skin. Keeps in the fridge for 1 week. The veggie is rich in vitamin C, which gives skin a glow.
