ng extremely unique and different to the beauty industry. Their first Salon was opened on Northampton Street in Easthampton MA, which made for a great foundation, where the perfect team came together and grew. As time continued, the two owners continued to search for different locations and became curious of other places, different areas, and more bussling cities. They knew that they didn't want to go far, for the clients travel time, and also the amount of time the owners and staff would have to travel as well. Than following a passing of their very adored client Clara, Laura and June fell in love with a quaint, elegant, space that was for rent. It's placed on 50 Green Street, in Northampton, MA in the same location that Clara had owned a Women's Clothing Boutique, before her sad passing; fate also had another surprise, it was on the same street as the previous salon that both June and Laura had worked at together before opening Salon O. So they went "back to their roots" as they both said fondly, there Salon O on Green was created. Keeping the first Salon's elegance, they did add more of a modern and retro essence to the Salon, yet it all rolled together to become something that only Laura and June could come up with, it's perfectly; classy mod-chic. Laura Kessler and June Jones have known each other for 27 years. They opened Salon O in 2006 when they found the perfect space to create a salon where women can relax, have fun, and wash away the stresses of the day. Both women consider their work an art and have continued to learn new trends and techniques to perfect their craft. Laura, who has been practicing since 1981, has attended a series of academies in Chicago, NYC, and South Beach, specializing in cutting and coloring. In addition to a license in cosmetology, she is also a licensed instructor. She's been practicing since 1976 and was trained at the Chadwick School and Jingles School of Hair Design in NYC. Her mentor was known as one of the only practitioners of relaxing and bleaching hair at the same time. Relaxing, cutting, and coloring a client are June's specialities. Together, Laura and June have assembled a friendly, accomplished staff who can meet all of your cosmetology needs. Their long-standing friendship and warm personalities combined with their talent and skill create a welcoming yet sophicated environment that keeps their clients coming back year after year. Lindsay Kessler (Manager/Receptionist)- Lindsay has been a vital part to the Salon O team for over nine years. Her goals are to make the clients feel comfortable, welcome, and to answer any questions they may have. She works hard to keep the many intricate functions of the salon running smoothly and efficiently.
