Marchele founded The Haven Hair Studio in 1999 after seven years of working as a hairstylist in Pioneer Valley salons. In an effort to provide the best service, Marchele works with clients one at a time, keeping individual sessions as free from interruptions as possible. She serves her clients with an attitude of humility, respect and consideration. After 23 years of working as a stylist, she still has many of the clients that helped get her started. Marchele graduated from Kay Harvey Hair Academy in Springfield, MA and keeps current with evolving trends and industry technologies through her commitment to ongoing training. She has earned many certificates of achievement, especially in the area of haircolor, which is a deep interest of hers. Marchele's passion for design, color, and beautifying began early in her professional life. Prior to becoming a hairstylist, Marchele worked as a landscape architect after receiving her BLA from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY.

Lifeless, fly-away, "stat-icky" hair? It's that time of year...the dry heat is stealing the moisture out of your hair which in turn causes this static. Here's what to do:
1. Use a gentle shampoo. Focus on the scalp, not the ends.
2. Shampoo less often. You can wet and style your hair everyday, just don't use shampoo. In the shower, massage your scalp as if you had shampoo on it. The massaging loosens natural oil and rinsing carries the oil through the hair shaft, leaving some moisture on it. This is GOOD thing!
3. Use a leave-in conditioner or hair oil. Very little is needed. You will be pleasantly static free!
