If you’re nervous about a color correction… this is the type of end result you get when you don’t rush it.
She started as a solid level 1 black, it was time to go back to her natural level and embrace her natural beauty ✨
Her biggest fear was damaging her hair, so we took the slow, healthy route — six months of letting her color fade, trims, and prepping her hair instead of forcing a lift.
Before we even touched lightener(bleach), I performed multiple Malibu pre-treatments to safely remove buildup and some of the old pigment.
This alone created a huge shift in her “before” picture and set us up for a much faster, cleaner, safer lift. Less bleach time = healthier results.
When her hair was ready, we spent a full 7 hours:
✨ Ammonia-free, integrity-first lighteners
✨ Slicing | back combed foil work to protect her natural color / new growth
✨ Lifting only previously colored hair
