this week, the doors to Cheveux officially closed.

Amongst one of the most chaotic weeks I have ever experienced, filled with loss, trauma, and medical emergencies… the Cheveux era came to an end.

To my faithful clients: you are the heart of Cheveux. You truly kept the dream of Cheveux alive. Year after year, your support humbled me. I will never take for granted the opportunity you gave me in Cheveux. ‘Thank you’ just seems so inadequate for the joy you brought me over the years. But I’m so grateful for every conversation and creative opportunity you brought to Cheveux.

This wasn’t the ending I anticipated. I imagined Cheveux to last decades. And I’m blessed for the years I had behind the chair. But it’s time to hang up the signature brick photo wall, turn off the lights, and prepare for the next adventure.

Allie was one of my first clients. She’s followed me from the beginning: trusting me to take her hair from brown, to platinum blonde.
From platinum blonde to copper red.
And from copper red to this moody brunette.

Today was her last day in Cheveux’s chair, and to say it hit me in the feels is an understatement.

In this season of “last appointments,” I just keep coming back to how grateful I am for every one of you. You are more than clients. You are my creative inspiration; the backbone to my small business; and part of my family. We’ve been through the highs and lows together. And I don’t take a single moment of this rollercoaster for granted. So, as insignificant as it sounds: thank you. For everything you’ve given me over the last decade. Leaving Cheveux behind is so hard, and it’s because of your loyalty and support. I am so grateful for y’all! xx - Chelsea
