They seriously make some of the best smash burgers around. Everything is made fresh, and their fries are hand cut. I’ve eaten a LOT of burgers and fries, and those fries are hard to beat.

I wanted to share something a little different that The People’s Table is doing with the Shoreline Lions.

On Tuesday, September 15, we’re taking a cruise on the Aquastar — and the best part is that your ticket helps support TWO local organizations.

The Shoreline Lions and The People’s Table will both benefit from the event.

Tickets are $41 and it’s open to everyone. You’ll get out on the water, enjoy some live music, grab a drink from the bar, have some snacks and just spend a couple hours enjoying Muskegon from a different view.

Boarding starts at 6:00 PM
We leave the dock at 6:30 PM
Back around 8:30 PM

I’ll be there representing The People’s Table, and honestly, I think this is a pretty damn good way to spend a Tuesday night.

Everyone started with the same thing: a blank canvas.

Then the fun started.

We show you how to make the soap, demonstrate different ways to customize it, and then you take over.

And apparently, if you're from Black Circle Radio, you make soap that looks like a record. 🎶

He designed his own black soap with actual record grooves and blended THREE different fragrances to create his own scent.

That's what we love about these classes.

The People’s Table is a charity that my brother and I started because we believe our community is better when neighbors get to know neighbors.

Every Sunday at 3 PM, we get together in downtown Muskegon, cook a damn good meal, and invite EVERYONE to come sit down and eat with us.

And we mean everyone.

Housed or unhoused. Working or unemployed. Struggling or doing just fine. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Come by yourself.

No questions asked.

You don’t have to be in need to come. You don’t have to prove anything. We just want people to come together, share a meal, have some good conversations, laugh a little, and get to know the people who live in the same community we all call home.

We’ve watched people who showed up as strangers become friends. We’ve watched people become regulars and eventually become part of our little community.

That’s why we started this.

Because we think life is better when we know our neighbors.

🌲🥾 WE’RE BACK! 🧼

What an adventure.

Over the last couple of days, my boys and I tackled about 18 miles of the Manistee River Loop, hiking the entire Manistee River Trail and a good stretch of the North Country Trail.

The views overlooking the river, the natural springs, and the little waterfalls made every sore muscle worth it.

And I have to give a shoutout to my two backpacking buddies. They absolutely crushed it. For their first backpacking trip, they handled it like pros and hardly complained at all.I’m so proud of them! 😄

I also learned an important lesson...

Pack lighter. 😂

Thank you to everyone who understood while we took a couple of days to unplug, get outside, and make some memories together. We truly appreciate your support.

We’ll be back to our normal business hours tomorrow, so stop in, say hi, and check out a few of our favorite photos from the trip!

🥾🌲 WE’RE TAKING SOAP DUDE OFF THE GRID. 🌲🥾

This Tuesday, we’re trading soap bars for backpacks.

Me and my two boys are heading out on our very first backpacking trip together to tackle the 23-mile Manistee River Loop. Wish us luck... we’re gonna need it. 😅

We’ll be spending a couple days hiking, camping, getting dirty, and seeing if we can survive without running water... which feels a little ironic for a soap company.

We’ll be sharing photos from the trail along the way, so keep an eye on our page!

🚨 Soap Dude Cosmetics will be CLOSED Tuesday while we’re out making memories.

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Wednesday—hopefully with all three of us, and hopefully without too many mosquito bites.
