WHAT IS JET PLASMA?
Jet Plasma is an advanced technology used to brighten, tighten and lift the skin. It also helps to shrink pores, treat active acne, stimulate the reproduction of high levels of collagen and elastin. The design of the device combines Jet (J plasma), Cold Atmospheric Plasma and high voltage microcurrent. Our Profosma Jet Plasma pen penetrates 13,000 volts of plasma into the dermis and subcutaneous layers of the skin, remodeling the cellular structure from the inside out. Cold Atmospheric plasma is administered in short bursts that create a focused stream of low-current cold plasma. This response allows us to tighten the skin without any burn or surface trauma which occurs with traditional Fibroblast plasma treatments. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is well documented in the medical community for its ability to destroy bacterial cells and increase tissue oxygenation. When Jet Plasma is mixed with oxide oxygen, Ozone is created. The Microcurrent stimulates the facial muscles, further assisting in lifting and sculpting the face.

WHAT IS PLASMA?

Plasma is easily influenced by electromagnetic fields in a way that neutral gases are not. Plasma and gas are two separate phases of matter. The phases of matter are solid, liquid, gas and plasma. Since plasma and gas are closely related, plasma is rarely referred to when talking about the phases of matter. Gas turns into plasma when enough heat or energy is added to ionize it. The atoms that make up the gas start to lose their electrons and become positively charged ions. The lost electrons are then able to float freely. This process is called ionization. Once a significant portion of the gas has become ionized, the electrical characteristics of the substance dramatically change and it is then referred to as plasma.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The number of treatments required will vary according to the skin's laxity, the condition being treated , the desired degree of correction and the individual's response to the treatment. Most client's see results instantly and this continues to improve over the course of the following 6-8 weeks. Since we are using a cooler temperature Plasma (cold and Jet) a series of treatments may be required for ideal results. You can initially get treated 2-3 times per week with 48 hours in between each session. Once the skin starts to improve you can do 1 time per week or every 2 weeks, 3 weeks and so on.
