And with this series, I’m making it my mission to be as transparent as possible about my journey so my supporters can truly see what it took to get here! I grew up in the projects. Section 8. Low income. Single-parent household. No financial literacy. No guidance. No business owners around me. No college degrees around me. No examples of entrepreneurship or wealth being built around me. I didn’t come from environments where people invested into themselves, took risks, or chased massive dreams. Most people around me were simply trying to survive life the best way they knew how.

And for a long time, I thought that was all life was supposed to be.

But even as a kid, I always felt like there was something bigger waiting for me outside of my circumstances. I got out into the world, learned, grew, failed, made mistakes, took risks, invested into myself, and slowly started building the mindset that would later change my entire life. None of this happened overnight. There were seasons of depression, confusion, negative bank accounts, sleeping on floors, working multiple jobs, and trying to hold onto faith while figuring life out in real time.

That’s why I want this series to be bigger than just “success.” I want people to see that your beginning does NOT have to determine your ending. You do not have to come from money, connections, or privilege to create a different life for yourself. Hard work, consistency, self-belief, faith, and discipline can truly take you places you never imagined.

Today I was a sponsor at 4th annual lash convention! It’s so crazy to think that Sherlin came to me for mentorship back in 2022 and I encouraged her to host her own lash event to bring lash artists from all across the world together. I started my business at 21 years old with humble beginnings, big faith, and a vision that was bigger than my circumstances. I did not have everything figured out, I did not come from endless resources, and I definitely did not skip the hard seasons. But what I did have was drive, discipline, consistency, and a deep belief that God would bless the work of my hands.

Now here I am turning 29, still doing what I love, still working for myself, still building, still evolving, and still standing in the very prayers I once cried over. To spend pretty much all of my 20’s as an entrepreneur has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. There were sacrifices, long nights, pressure, lessons, losses, rebuilding seasons, and moments where I had to bet on myself over and over again. But through it all, God kept me, my community kept me, and this business kept growing.

From starting at 21 to now having sold to all 50 states and 48 countries, and being able to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs worldwide. I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude. What once started small has now grown into impact, income, freedom, influence, and a legacy that is still being written. That means everything to me.

And one thing I’m most proud of is not just what I built for myself, but what I’ve been able to help other people build too. My mentorship has allowed me to pour into entrepreneurs who are ready to elevate, grow, and create real results in their businesses. That is why this work means so much to me. It has never just been about money. It has always been about impact, obedience, and helping other people unlock what’s possible for themselves too.
