I did something silly today, which inspired me to offer this reminder to my fans. I was running late for work this morning and scooted out the door before finishing my skin care routine. Late in the afternoon a concerned friend mentioned that my face was pretty red. I noted that it was hot in her house, that's all. By supper time I had my mom feel my forehead because I thought my face felt hot. It wasn't until bedtime when I was about to start my skin care routine that it dawned on me. I had used my vitamin c facial serum that morning as usual, but had neglected to put on sun screen because I was rushed. Than, because it had been a nice day, I had taken a noon time walk outside. This is so silly because I know better. Citrus oils (such as vitamin c) can cause photosensitivity if you don't follow with a sun screen. Now I have patches on my cheeks that are red, hot to the touch and feel like a mild sunburn. Tonight's skincare routine consisted of aloe.
