John 16:23

Stresses of the modern world bog us down daily; thus, we take our concerns to the Lord by calling on the authority of Jesus. God hears our cries and discerns our wants from what we need. He listens as we repent our transgressions and cleanses our hearts out of mercy and grace. God knows what is best for our lives and takes our hand as we seek to align our hearts to His will. Through Jesus, we have access to God and will call upon Him continually.

1 Corinthians 3:17

There are a variety of ways our bodies can be destroyed both physically and spiritually. We can be physically abusive by fighting or intentionally disregarding safety protocols. We speak hurtful words, gossip or lead others into sin, be it intentional or not. We know to treat our own body as a temple, and we must be sure to treat those around us the same. We will protect one another in all physical settings and build each other up spiritually.

Dear Lord, please help us see that our body is a temple. You have created within us unique spiritual and physical qualities that require our attention. We will improve our choices to protect the body You have created for us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear God, we seek Your wisdom in teaching others about Your Word. Please help us use mercy and grace when disciplining one another as we continue to reflect Your unconditional love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hebrews 12:13

Suffering is not enjoyable. When we wander from the path of righteousness by choosing sin, it ends with suffering and our feet become paralyzed. God uses the hardships we create to discipline and redirect our focus. We praise God for creating a straight path to keep our focus clearer and our feet less likely to stumble.

Give me the wisdom to discern where warnings are needed, and the words to speak them in grace. And give me ears to hear the wisdom of the leaders that watch over me, too. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, in the clamor of voices in our world, I desire to hear Yours. In the onslaught of information, give me the wisdom to sift truth from falsehood. Help me to not be deceived by false knowledge that sets itself up against You, and instead rely on Your word and Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Gracious God, each day You sustain me and my family. Thank You for Your provision, which is always enough. I take comfort in Your faithfulness, and it is with gratitude that I take shelter in the shadow of Your wing. Grow me in contentment, so that You and Your grace may always be sufficient for me. Lord, thank You for loving me, serving me, and giving abundantly to me even though I could never earn Your generosity. I confess that I am at times selfish and stingy with my resources. So empower me to be more like You, to give and love out of compassion, for the sake of Your kingdom, so that Your power may be revealed in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
