This made me cry… real tears!
Y’all just don’t know the silent battles I face every day. The random conversations I have with God daily. How many times I wanted to give up as a hairstylist. Being confused wanting to quit. But, loyalty to my clients and my purpose has kept me here longer than I want to be.
Often discouraged that natural hair ( real hair) is just not a thing. Discouraged that I’m not as busy as I once was. Giving up because women aren’t embracing their beautiful, fine, coarse, kinky, curly textured hair. Instead they choose to wear someone else’s. Which makes me feel like “ where do I fit in?” As a natural hairstylist I’m often encouraging women not to be afraid of their hair, embrace it. Love on it. Comb it. Lol ..run your fingers through it. Let it blow in the wind. If it has a good cut and a few good curls it’ll fall back into place.
This video literally made me cry. I felt my purpose through her words. Gods hands blessed her through me. I enjoy Making women smile, and feel confident by enhancing and building “hair esteem “ this is what “Hair Glory”is all about. The testimonies of transformation from women that have been programmed to believe their hair wasn’t good enough to achieve a certain look or color or movement. I want women to appreciate their hair, and not giving up on the possibilities of what their hair is capable of. Color it, cut it! If that’s what you wanna do.
