This is Pat Yates.
I had the privilege of being her hairstylist for roughly the last 5 years. She brought more joy into my life than I ever expected. I started off doing her granddaughters hair, then her daughter’s hair and then hers. 3 generations of women who have become more like family than “clients”.
Pat was exceptional. She was spunky and kind, compassionate and loving to ALL. She could make you laugh until you had tears in your eyes. We did fun colors in her hair like purple and blue, but my most favorite was the pink I was able to give her before she left the world. We got to laugh and talk, enjoy each others company while I did the one thing I promised her I’d do until she couldn’t anymore. Being your stylist was a great honor, it’s so much more than “doing hair”. We create bonds and connections with people that run deeper than we ever expect. These pictures mean so much to me, and I can’t thank her granddaughter Amanda enough for capturing these moments.
Pat, you will always hold such a special place in my heart. I love you dearly and I know you’re creating the best kind of chaos wherever you are. Rest easy and thank you for everything ❤️
