This is our one wedding picture. Wednesday, 8/1/2001, about 2:30pm in Piggott, Arkansas! Donnie and I, along with our three little boys, eloped. It was the second marriage for both of us, and I thought it would be strange for us to have a “real wedding.” That has often been a regret of mine because I would have loved more pictures, but we have some funny memories of that day. Donnie started having chest pains and I told him to pull off that I could drive. Alex had a high fever, and I told him we would hit Wal-Mart in Malden which we did. When we called my parents to tell them, my mother said she was going to be sick and passed the phone to daddy. Blended families are hard, but I knew the years would fly and we could look back and would be stronger from the “hard.“ When the boys were small, we worked long hours, but on our weekends, we devoted our time and love to them. I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father that we took our commitment to each other and our marriage seriously. Donnie, you are my person. Daddy was the first man I loved and he was always my biggest fan. Be prepared me for how I should love you. I love you, Donnie Harris!
