š Thereās something about fall that feels like permission to begin again.
Maybe itās the cooler air, the changing leaves, or the reminder that letting go can be beautiful too. Fall invites us to slow down, take stock of where we are, and decide what we want to carry with us into the next seasonāand what weāre ready to leave behind.
A fresh start doesnāt always require a huge life change. Sometimes itās a new boundary. A different routine. Choosing yourself a little more often. Resting without guilt. Or simply recognizing that you donāt have to keep doing something just because youāve always done it that way.
Hereās to crisp air, cozy days, and giving ourselves permission to start again. šš¤

A pretty special moment for Rooted with Colleen. šæš¤
After months of research, writing, creating, editing (and more formatting than I ever imagined š), I finally have the physical copies of Once Upon a Baby Dream in my hands.
These resources were created to help couples navigating infertility feel more connected, understood, and supported through an experience that can put enormous strain on a relationship.
Seeing them go from an idea, to my doctoral work, to something I can actually hold is pretty incredible.
This is why I started Rooted. š±

Yoga teacher training tonight š§āāļøšæ
Weāre diving into the Sanskrit names of the asanasānot just learning what the poses are called, but breaking down how to actually teach them: cueing, alignment, transitions, modifications, and helping different bodies find their version of the pose.
There is SO much more to teaching yoga than knowing how to do yoga. And Iām loving learning the why behind what happens on the mat.
Still learning. Still practicing. Still growing. š±

šæ Now Available for CEU Presentations!
One of the parts of my work Iām especially excited to continue growing is training and educating other mental health professionals.
Iām currently available to provide in-person and virtual CEU presentations for practices, agencies, organizations, professional groups, and conferences.
One of my featured trainings is:
š± Once Upon a Baby Dream: Recognizing the Hidden Relationship Impact of Infertility
This presentation goes beyond the medical side of infertility to explore what can happen within the relationshipāattachment, communication, intimacy, identity, emotional connection, and the ways couples cope differently with an incredibly complex experience.
Iām also developing and offering CEU trainings focused on relationship patterns, attachment, red/yellow/green flags, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and clinical assessment and intervention.
My goal is for every training to be practical, evidence-based, compassionate, and immediately useful in the therapy room.
If your practice, agency, organization, or professional group is looking for a CEU speaker, Iād love to connect. šæ

The last couple days of yoga teacher training were all about inversions, arm balances, breathwork, and learning to trust my body in some very unfamiliar positions. š§āāļø
And the timing was kind of fitting, because this weekend definitely required some balance off the mat too. We lost power at home, things have been a bit of a mess, and as of tonight⦠weāre still without power. š©
But I showed up anyway. I breathed. I tried things that intimidated me. I fell out of poses. I tried again. And somehow ended the weekend doing things I wasnāt sure I could do.
Sometimes balance isnāt about everything being calm and perfectly aligned. Sometimes itās finding your center while everything around you feels a little upside down. š
And apparently sometimes that means literally being upside down. š

⨠A dream is becoming reality. āØ
What began as my doctoral research is almost ready to reach the people it was created for.
Once Upon a Baby Dream is a therapist-guided infertility support program that includes both a Facilitator Guide and a Coupleās Workbook. It was developed from research, evidence-based relationship approaches, clinical experience, and a deep passion for supporting couples through the emotional challenges of infertility.
After months of editing, refining, and preparing these resources, they are now in the final stages before being self-published on Amazon.
My hope is that these workbooks will help therapists confidently facilitate infertility support groups while giving couples practical tools to strengthen communication, connection, and resilience throughout their journey.
This is just the beginning, and I canāt wait to share more with you soon. š

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause.
We often talk about self-care as something we have to earn after weāve finished everything on our to-do list. But our bodies usually ask us to slow down long before that list is complete.
Tonight, Iām choosing to listen.
Rest isnāt giving up. Itās creating the space to show up more fully tomorrowāfor ourselves, the people we love, and the work that matters most.
If youāre feeling exhausted, consider this your reminder that taking a break isnāt weakness. Itās wisdom. š

Some days are long. Full schedules, heavy stories, and meaningful conversations.
But even on the busiest days, Iām reminded why I love this work. Healing doesnāt happen all at onceāit grows one conversation, one insight, and one small step at a time.
Grateful to walk alongside so many incredible people on their journey. šæ

Todayās storms were a good reminder that not every difficult season is meant to be avoided.
Some storms water the roots.
The hard conversations.
The moments we finally ask for help.
The boundaries we set.
The healing we choose.
None of those are easyābut they often become the moments that help us grow the most.
So if today felt heavy, remember this: storms donāt last forever, and growth often begins beneath the surface, long before we can see it.
šæ Stay rooted.

Yoga is more than movement. Itās history, philosophy, self-study, and rest.
Todayās teacher training took us through the rich history of yoga before guiding us into yoga nidraāa practice of intentional rest that reminds us healing doesnāt always happen through doing. Sometimes it happens through simply being.
One of the biggest lessons Iām learning in this journey is that growth comes from both studying deeply and allowing ourselves to slow down.
