One week ago, I found out my best friend had lung cancer. Yesterday I made the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my life. I said goodbye to the glue that held me together for nine years. I will never forget the way Stella loved me and the way I loved her. I will never forget how sweet and how gentle she was. She saved me and I saved her. For so many years, she kept me company when I had no one. She gave her the strength to get out of bed so many days I didn’t want to.
